A Few mistakes that you should avoid in DM-
If you don't understand DM after a few books then you are lost.
Don't think that you have to read at least 10 books to get a good grasp on DM.
DM all in one for dummies covers a lot of ground.
And it gives a high overview on the subject matter.
Do not go on buying dummies books without any reason. You will only become lost in the subject matter.
Your first book that you purchase on marketing is the most important book.
My First marketing book I read was Get Clients Now! This book covers a lot of ground and is right for people who are new to sales and marketing.
There are a few concerns about marketing that you need to worry about.
Leads, Funnel, Personas, Campaigns, Goals, etc.
If still you get lost after reading then start fresh and run another round of reading.
DM all in one for dummies by Stephanie Diamond, is also another right book to start with.
However if DM all in one for dummies book starts to become a lot for you then read Get Clients Now by C. J. Hayden.
Once you understand DM, you have Facebook ads videos on YouTube. Facebook Marketing, Twitter Marketing, YouTube Marketing, Pinterest Marketing, Instagram Marketing. All training videos on YouTube. All free.
Okay, if you think that you understand the concepts but you don't understand the big picture of marketing then picture this scenario -
You know what marketing is all about, but you know only the pieces of the puzzle.
So, get the puzzle pieces together and see if you can understand the big picture of marketing. Arrange them in the order that you would like to follow for a marketing project. And you will see the DM big picture.
Okay, if still you are lost then try speaking to other marketers you know and see if that helps you become confident about DM.
Do not register for any courses and spend a lot of money to learn asap. It's only going to waste your precious time and money.
If someone even advises you to join a course, refrain to join such courses.
Save your money, learn DM by yourself, it's for your best to gain confidence on DM and you can learn all this by yourself.
No one can teach you marketing step by step.
You have to walk the journey and you have others to help you.
